Just Coffee Delegations in the Wall Street Journal
Posted by matt at about 9am on Tuesday March 11, 2008Check out this article in the 3/11 edition of the Wall Street Journal about our delegations. Not normally known as a big booster of fair trade, they do a nice job outlining the basics of our trips to grower communities with our friends and partners.
For more info on our delegations, what they are, when they are, and how to get involved, please see the story below this one on our homepage. You can also click the delegations tab above for other info like pictures, stories on past delegations, and related projects like Fair Trade University.
Thanks and remember fair ain't free!!!

fair is not free

dear j-rod:
being j-rod you know that you will always be comped. by everyone.
in other natural foods news, does anyone yet have a patent on "lutte-fu". it would be a norwegian-style slab of tofu marinated in lye and buried under a porch for a year.

I read with interest he Wall Street Journal article, and can only imagine the dedication and unique spirit of the person that organizes and leads these events.
My congratulations!
You got that right...
You are totally right on.
Colleen, the leader of the trips, is in East Timor and probably does not have great access to the internets right now. I gave the reporter her contact and sent Colleen the reporter's contact along with other stories she had written, but I've never heard back from Colleen. I spent a good 15 minutes of the 30 we spoke talking about Colleen, who she is, what she does, her background, etc. I wish they had been able to talk.
If you are interested in knowing more about Colleen and her trips, please contact her at the e-mail address in the story below this one. And if you are interested in why the journalist chose not to mention her by name, you should contact the writer directly. Her contact is in the WSJ article, I believe.
Thanks!
